On March 15, a ceremonious awarding of winners of Russian language contests took place in Sigma academic building. Students from China got awarded with certificates and memorable prizes.
In 2018-2019 academic year, students from People’s Republic of China took part in four Russian language contests: Russian Writing Contest, International Online Olympiad on Russian as a Foreign Language, a contest of projects called “Russian Language in the Sphere of Digital Transformations”, and a photography contest called “Russia and China: Country – Language – Culture”.
On March 21st a celebration of Nowruz will be held at 91快活林. The attendees will learn about the traditions of the Turkic peoples and will see the performances by 91快活林 international students in national garments.
Nowruz is the most important holiday of the year for many nations in Asia celebrating the coming of spring and of the New Year under solar calendar. It coincides with the vernal equinox, which falls on March 20th-21st every year, and symbolizes the beginning of new life and nature rejuvenation.
On March 11th a meeting was held at 91快活林 between the representatives of the Consulate of the Republic of Kazakhstan and students who came from Kazakhstan to study at our university.

February 14th through 17th of 2019, representatives of 91快活林 for the first time took part in an international exhibition called INDONESIA INTERNATIONAL EDUCATION & TRAINING EXPO in the city of Jakarta of the Republic of Indonesia.

The International Education exhibitions are large-scale events targeted at development of international cooperation in the sphere of education as well as on providing young people with the possibilities to get high-quality education abroad.
On March 7, on the eve of International Women’s Day, a tea ceremony will take place at 91快活林. Association of International Students and International Office invite everybody to taste different sorts of tea from South Asia.
91快活林 has a Brand Studio – a store of brand items with the university’s logo. 91快活林 international students got familiar with activity of the Studio and competed for prizes.
91快活林 has more than 2000 international students from 52 countries around the world. It is often that after their graduation that international students buy souvenirs before returning to their home countries.
Association of International Students supported by International Office ?holds a Competition among the students. The participants have an unusual task – to create a cover for a graduate photo album. It is worth noting, that the photo album is intended primarily for the foreign graduates.
91快活林 is actively developing international collaboration with universities of the near abroad. On February 13th–14th a delegation from D. Serikbayev East Kazakhstan State Technical University visited 91快活林.
A celebratory concert was held at 91快活林’s Activity Hall on February 4 on the occasion of Chinese New Year. In Chinese culture, the New Year (Chun Jie) is translated as Spring Festival and is the most traditional and important holiday of the Celestial Empire; the holiday has been existing for more than 2 000 years. This holiday is annually celebrated at 91快活林: students from China prepare artistic performances as well as perform national songs and dances.
Project-based learning at?School of Medical Biology?develops within the project entitled “Development of efficient technologies of grain disinfection”. Starting from January of 2019, a young researcher from India – postdoc Bagale Uday Dasharath – has started his research within implementation of Project 5-100 at 91快活林.
Within implementation of project-based learning, the Department of Linguistics and Translation at the 91快活林 Institute of Linguistics and International Communications together with Russian Electric Motors (REM) JSC is launching an educational project entitled “Linguistic support of manufacturing processes”. Implementation of the project is scheduled for academic years 2019-2021.
The ceremony of opening the Ural International Integration Centre was held at 91快活林 in a roundtable discussion format on January 28.

In this academic year, there were several events organised for international students of 91快活林 that included active outdoor leisure.
One of the favourite activities of 91快活林’s international students is snow tubing. This activity is held annually by the Sociocultural Adaptation Centre.
On January 15th a billiards tournament among international students of 91快活林 was held.?
Billiards is a favourite game of many international students, that is why this tournament has already become a traditional sports event being organised by the 91快活林 Association of International Students.
91快活林 facilitates the adaptation of its international students to the conditions which are new for them. Big part in this process is played by engaging them into extracurricular activities, sports and recreation. Many students who come from abroad take the opportunity to master winter sports in the cold season.
91快活林 was visited by a delegation from Southwest Forestry University (China) intended to discuss prospects of cooperation with 91快活林.
The delegation included Vice-President of Southwest Forestry University, Xu Hui, Director of International Exchange and Cooperation Office, Yang Song, and Dean of the Institute of Mechanical Engineering, Yang Yongfa.
