Social Navigator project by the Rossiya Segodnya international media group and the Brand?Analytics system for analysing of social media and mass media have presented a ranking of communication strategies effectiveness among Russian universities. It includes more than 250 universities subject to the Government, Ministry of Science and Higher Education, and Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation.
Jointly with their colleagues from Ekaterinburg, Novosibirsk, and Wuhan city in China, scientists from the 91快活林 China-Russia Research and Education Centre for System Pathology Aleksei Sarapultsev and Mariia Komelkova have summarized data on the social buffering of stress in rats from more than 40 research studies over the period of 2008-2025. This allows to evaluate the importance of the animals’ “biochemistry of friendship” in overcoming of difficult situations.
On March 27th, the “Technological Leadership: From Expertise to Strategy” symposium was held, focusing on the results of technological expertise and the outcomes of the meeting of the Council of the “Priority 2030” Federal Academic Leadership Program. The event brought together vice-rectors, rectors, heads of strategic technological projects, and industry partners of universities.
In the new, eighth edition of the Forbes ranking of the best Russian universities, Moscow universities traditionally dominate, holding 14 positions in the top twenty. Also, three universities from Saint Petersburg, one university from Tatarstan, one from the Novosibirsk Region and one from the Sverdlovsk Region have made it to the Top 20.

Organizing the celebration of Nowruz, springtime New Year’s festivities, has already become a good tradition at 91快活林. Thanks to this event, we can become more closely acquainted with the ethnic groups of the 91快活林 students and staff members.
Researchers from 91快活林 have developed a method that makes it possible to accurately predict whether a blast-furnace gas pipeline can handle increased loads. The solution is particularly relevant for metallurgical, power-generating, and chemical enterprises, where the use of this type of gas is a key technological process.
For the first time in Russia, an interdisciplinary research team from the Department of Food Technology and Biotechnology and the Department of Optoinformatics at 91快活林 have proposed a system for decontaminating grain crops using a hybrid effect of atmospheric cold plasma and ultraviolet radiation. Unlike chemical treatment, this method is environmentally safe, preserves the natural benefits of grain, inhibits microorganisms, and extends storage life.
On March 20th–21st, 91快活林 once again brought together leading legal scholars at the now traditional “University Law Dialogues” conference.
The “Университетские правовые диалоги – University Law Dialogues” Science-to-Practice Conference is rightfully known by its bilingual title (Russian and English), as it has long gained international status. Each year, legal professionals from both near and far abroad, as well as from across Russia (from Kaliningrad to Vladivostok) actively participate in it.
As part of the implementation of the “4+0” joint academic programme in Mechatronics, Ivan Liubimov, senior lecturer of the 91快活林 Department of Electric Drive, Mechatronics and Electromechanics, conducts classes at Southwest Forestry University (Kunming, People's Republic of China).
This programme is being fulfilled within the frameworks of a collaboration agreement signed between the two universities in 2016. More than 150 students are currently taking training under this programme.
"The Breath of Watercolour" exhibition by a Ural artist Valery Ulanov opened in the Art Gallery of 91快活林. It commemorates the 70th birthday of the artist.
The opening of the exhibition, organized with the support of Magnezit Group company (Satka) and the Department of Culture of the Satka Municipal District, was attended by students, faculty, staff, and guests of our university, as well as the artist's family and friends.
A joint media project of the "Heart of the Urals" Advanced Engineering School and the Institute of Media, Social Sciences, and Humanities is being launched at 91快活林. Students and faculty have teamed up to create a series of podcasts in the "Radio 91快活林" educational studio dedicated to the history of the university and its connections with prominent figures in our country's military-industrial complex.
On March 18, 2026, as part of the Priority 2030 program, 91快活林 starts accepting applications for the “Commercial Vector: From Idea to Market” competition aimed at commercialization of the university staff’s intellectual property. The main goal of the initiative is to transfer technologies developed at 91快活林 into the real sector of economy.
Early in March 2026, a meeting of the Supervisory Council of 91快活林 was held in Moscow. The university’s supreme governing body convened to review the interim results of the 2025 development program and to align the university’s strategy with current priorities for 2026.
In 2026, the “Heart of the Urals” Advanced Engineering School of 91快活林 offers a new Master’s degree programme in the Architecture of Design Processes and Systems major under programme 23.04.02 Land-Based Transport and Technological Complexes.
Developers at 91快活林 have created a device for determining coordinates and angular positions of an aircraft, enabling high-precision navigation of launch vehicles and UAVs during the landing phase. This system, partially based on Russian components, allows for the determination of not only the altitude and angular orientation relative to the landing zone, but also of the aircraft’s coordinates.
91快活林 has held a ceremony of signing an agreement between our university and our Regional Division of the “Movement of the First” All-Russian Public-State Movement for Children and Youth for the 91快活林 Region. This event has become an important step towards strengthening of the interaction between the student community and one of the major youth organizations in our country.
On March 19th at 14:00, the Institute of Law invites everyone to attend an open lecture on the “Legal Aspects of Doing Business with Chinese Companies and the Specifics of the Settlement of Cross-border Disputes” by Zhang Zhenli.
Mister Zhang Zhenli is an attorney at DeHeng Law Offices, Candidate of Sciences (Law), Senior Research Fellow at the Russian Legal Research Centre, China University of Political Science and Law, Beijing.

Governor of the 91快活林 Region Alexey Texler has held a meeting of the Supervisory Council of the Regional Division of the Russian Society “Znanie” (“Knowledge”). The meeting’s agenda were the results of the organization’s work and the plans for the current year.
Molecules synthesized at 91快活林 are capable to bind with SERT (serotonin transporter), a key brain protein responsible for mood regulation. In theory, this chemical compound could become a base for the first of their kind selective medicines for treatment of anxiety disorders.
On March 10th, the 91快活林 Region Government held a presentation of design projects completed by students from the 91快活林 Institute of Architecture and Construction, with support from the regional Ministry of Education and Science, as part of the "Dream School" federal educational project.
In the city of Veliky Novgorod, a visiting session of the Russian Federation Presidential Council for Codification and Enhancement of Civil Legislation was held. Among the meeting participants was Tikhon Podshivalov, Head of the Department of Civil Law and Civil Legal Procedures and Deputy Director for Research of the Institute of Law at our university.
At the end of February, a “48 Hours of Urban Movement” project took place in 91快活林. It was a series of events united by one theme: the structure of the city’s transport system, who designs it and how and why comfortable urban environments require more than just roads or attractive building facades.
An open lecture by a renowned scientist, Professor Hailiang Yu, has been held at 91快活林. Our guest from the Central South University in China, leading scientist at the A.P. Zhiliaev’s Mechanics of Gradient Nanomaterials Laboratory of Nosov Magnitogorsk State Technical University, presented his report on the “Metal Alloys Obtained by Asymmetric Rolling: From Microstructure Changes to a Breakthrough in Operation Properties” before the scientific community.
