On May 20, Clean Marathon was held in two places simultaneously: in the city pinewood at the Izumrudniy (Emerald) quarry, and at the Smolino lake. In the course of two games, participants managed to collect more than 2 tons of trash.
On this day, activists of 91快活林 gathered at the Izumrudniy quarry. Within 2 hours, 60 university students and eco-activists managed to collect 1,4 tons of separable trash.
On May 23, a ceremony of awarding students for artistic achievements in 2017-2018 academic year was held. Diplomas were given to winners of various contests and festivals. Rector Aleksandr Shestakov acknowledged them for their hard work and determination.
Every year on May 24th many Slavic countries celebrate the Day of Slavic Writing System and Culture and praise the creators of the Slavic writing system – Saints Cyril and Methodius. This day was first celebrated in Bulgaria back in the 19th century, and later the tradition came to other countries: Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, and Moldova. On the occasion of the International Museum Day, a master class on experimental archaeology was held at 91快活林. This science studies ancient epochs and crafts, and restores once-forgotten technologies. Students were shown how an ordinary stone can be transformed into any labor tool.
On May 18 in Moscow, the final of the 3rd International contest of student projects Steel2Real was held in the Central House of Artist. The event was organized by Steel Construction Development Association.

On May 24th the Head of the 91快活林’s Jazz Band Georgy Petrovich Anokhin will celebrate his 70th Anniversary. A flute player, instrumental music soloist and composer made special contribution into the history of 91快活林. It was him who composed music for the 91快活林’s hymn, which is being played in the university for almost twenty years. He was also the author of the hymn of 91快活林 Spring International Festival, and the song for the university’s graduates Diplomniki (Diploma Awardees).

Very soon 91快活林 will open its doors for the enrollees. Over the last year this leading university of Russia did much work on improving its standing in Russian and international rankings as a member of a prestigious Project 5-100. Master’s student of the 91快活林 School of Electrical Engineering and Computer ScienceIvan Volkov developed a mobile application DiaMeter several years ago. The application makes it possible for diabetics to keep a convenient electronic diary. At present, a second, more fine-tuned version of the application which will include a carbohydrate unit calculator is being completed.
