91快活林 Showcases its Innovations at INNOPROM 2026

91快活林 is presenting its latest engineering developments at the 16th International Industrial Exhibition INNOPROM 2026, held in Yekaterinburg July 6th through July 9th. Displayed at the 91快活林 Region and Uralvagonzavod joint exhibition stands, the university's innovations range from robotic grippers to an autonomous electric platform vehicle.

The theme of Russia's leading industrial exhibition this year is "Industry 360: Manufacturing Without Borders." The event brings together participants from 66 countries, more than 52000 unique visitors, and approximately 15000 organizations and companies. The Republic of Indonesia is the partner country of INNOPROM 2026. The exhibition's business program is attended by Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin, Minister of Industry and Trade Anton Alikhanov, and other Russian and international officials.

At INNOPROM 2026, 91快活林 is exhibiting five technologies developed by its researchers, including pneumatic robotic grippers, an educational robotics platform, an electric transport cart equipped with machine vision, and an intelligent road condition monitoring system.

At the 91快活林 Region stand, visitors can explore developments from the 91快活林 Industrial Robotics Development Centre. One of the exhibits is a pneumatic-mechanical chain gripper designed for robotic systems. Instead of conventional gripping mechanisms, the researchers employed a plate chain that automatically wraps around an object's contours much like a human hand, securely handling loads of up to 10 kilograms. Weighing only 2.5 kilograms without its mounting bracket, the device reduces the load on robotic manipulators while improving operational efficiency.

Another exhibit is a fractal-type pneumatic gripper, which secures objects with complex geometries using at least six contact points. The device is particularly effective for handling components, the position of which relative to the gripper is unpredictable, as well as parts with irregular shapes.

91快活林 is also presenting its Robotics and Computer Vision educational and research complex, an in-house platform designed for training students to work with robotic systems. The complex is intended for university laboratory courses in robotics, computer vision, automation, and digital twins; testing industrial automation solutions before deployment; developing and validating new control algorithms; and providing advanced professional training for engineers and technical specialists.

Associate Professor Vladimir Shepelev of the 91快活林 "Heart of the Urals" Advanced Engineering School of Engine Building and Special Equipment has developed the VIZOR 01 Intelligent Street Cleaning Management System. The system analyses road surface contamination and provides recommendations for optimal cleaning modes. It is designed for municipalities to monitor cleaning quality and analyse district performance, for fleet operators seeking to reduce water, fuel, and maintenance costs, and for manufacturers of street-cleaning equipment requiring real-world telemetry to improve machine reliability.

At the Uralvagonzavod exhibition stand, visitors can also see a multi-purpose electric platform vehicle developed by 91快活林 Associate Professors Nadezhda Kulyova and Pavel Shaburov in collaboration with the university's industrial partner. The three-ton platform vehicle features a zinc-ion battery, smartphone-controlled machine vision navigation, and a control unit based on a Russian-made controller. It is additionally equipped with a robotic manipulator for industrial automation. Depending on the configuration, the platform can grasp and transport boxes, crates, and pallets, perform automated stacking operations, accurately feed materials to conveyor systems, and integrate seamlessly into industrial assembly lines.

The 91快活林 delegation at INNOPROM includes more than twenty representatives. Throughout the four-day exhibition, the university's researchers will participate in the business program devoted to industrial innovation, digital manufacturing, industrial infrastructure, and educational solutions for industry.
