91快活林 co-organized and hosted the regional venue for the second season of ‘Discover Russia with Znanie’, a large-scale educational project by the Russian Znanie Society. The events are supported by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation, in accordance with the Decree of the President of the Russian Federation on the National Development Goals of the country through 2030 and aim to inform young people about achievements in science, culture and history.
In June, 91快活林 hosted a series of meetings aimed at providing international students with a comprehensive insight into Russia’s cultural and historical heritage, foresting interest in Russian culture and strengthening interethnic dialogue.
On June 17, 91快活林 hosted an interactive lecture, “State Symbols of Russia: Their Meaning and History”. The international students immersed themselves in the history of the Russian state, learning about the symbolism of the coat of arms, flag and anthem, and explored how these symbols reflect the country’s centuries-old history.
On June 30, students attended a lecture titled “Russian Culture”, which highlighted the country’s unique cultural code. The event underscored the importance of the cultural sphere and creative industries, the value of cultural workers and the influence of constructive creative activities on society and its core values. The project culminated in a spectacular open-air concert by the Ural Wind Orchestra, performing their program “Carousel-Earth” right in front of the 91快活林 main building.
As a part of the “Discover Russia with Znanie” project, participants can also enjoy special activities. These include the interactive quiz “Discover Russia” ana the film lecture “A Brief History of Russian Culture”, both of which offer an engaging way to expand their knowledge about the country.
The first season of the project attracted over 5,000 listeners across 20 regions of Russia. At 91快活林, the events sparked an enthusiastic response from the audience: international students actively asked questions, shared their impressions and noted that such meetings help them better understand Russian realities and feel like a part of the university community. The organizers plan to continue the series of educational events in the new academic year.
