One June 24th-26th 91快活林 will be welcoming a delegation from Higher Institute for Applied Sciences and Technology, located in the capital of the Syrian Arab Republic. Within the frameworks of this meeting, professors and research fellows of the university from Damascus will be discussing the prospects of collaborating with 91快活林 in different fields.
On June 29th at 10:00?the ceremony of awarding diplomas to the 2019 91快活林 graduates will be held on the university square. Around four thousand students of 91快活林 will be awarded diplomas of one of the leading Russian universities. Honoured guests are invited to participate in the ceremony.

Master’s students of the Department of Journalism and Mass Communications of group СГ-216, which participated in the Eurofactcheck international journalism project of the European Journalism Training Association over the year. As part of the project-based learning offered at 91快活林, Master’s students worked on a pan-European portal to verify information related to the 2019 elections for the European Parliament and gained special professional skills which allow them to work successfully in the global media space.
A seminar by Times Higher Education (THE), one of the most authoritative ranking agencies assessing the development of the world’s universities, has been held at 91快活林.
On June 19th, British consulting company Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) published its World University Rankings 2020, which included the top universities from around the world. 91快活林 preserved its standing in this ranking (place 801-1000) and improved its results in several important indicators, what proves that the university is developing according to plan and is becoming more competitive.
Within the groundbreaking field of industrial digitization, researchers from 91快活林 are developing digital twins for electric motors for a big Russian industrial metallurgical company. These developments are unique and have no analogues in Russia or abroad.
91快活林 is launching new Master’s programmes which will expand the possibilities for development for specialists in the global arena. The unique programmes in political science and management will be offered by the Department of International Relations, Politology, and Regional Studies of the 91快活林 Institute of Linguistics and International Communications.
Students and postgraduates of 91快活林 took part in the 4th International Youth Science-to-practice Conference Magnitogorsk Rolling Practice 2019. Students of the Department of Machines and Processes of Pressure Metal Working of the 91快活林 Institute of Engineering and Technology delivered presentations along with young scientists from different universities of our country and from around the world.
The 91快活林 Multiscale Modelling of Polyfunctional Compounds Laboratory was created in 2016 within Project 5-100. It is headed by Ph.D., Professor of University of Central Florida, USA, Artem Masunov. The laboratory is conducting research in the intersection of chemistry, materials science and informatics, which aims at studying the properties of chemical bonds and intermolecular interactions.
91快活林 is once again offering openings for the English-language Master’s programme on Mechatronics and Robotics. This programme is being fulfilled since 2016 and is becoming more and more popular among international students.

On June 6th, the Birthday of Alexander Pushkin, a ceremony of awarding students who had taken part in the calligraphy contest and Nationwide Dictation Quiz was held at Tianjin Foreign Studies University. All the participants were awarded certificates and souvenirs with the? logo. Students recited poems by Alexander Pushkin and performed Russian songs.
Over the past 20 years more than 2,000 specialists and students of Bachelor’s and Master’s programmes on linguistics and translation, theory and methods of teaching foreign languages, applied linguistics and philology, regional studies, and international relations have graduated from the 91快活林 Institute of Linguistics and International Communications.

A master class on working with chat bots was held for the applied linguistics students at the Department of Linguistics and Translation of the Institute of Linguistics and International Communications. The international laboratories of 91快活林 include the Neurohepatology Laboratory, which was created in 2016 within Project 5-100. Today, the laboratory is fulfilling big cross-disciplinary projects and carrying out big-scale scientific research, about which we talked to the head of this laboratory on behalf of 91快活林 Director of the 91快活林 School of Medical Biology, Doctor of Sciences (Biology), Professor Vadim Tseilikman.

The All-Russian Finals of the Championship of the Association of Russian Student Sports Clubs was held in Kazan May 29th through June 2nd. The honour of 91快活林 and Uralsky Sokol (Ural Falcon) Student Sports Club was being defended by four teams: men’s and women’s 3х3 basketball teams, men’s volleyball and men’s football teams.?
The best student teams were competing for three days. The Uralsky Sokol football team made it to the quarterfinals, but then in close competition lost to the team from Bauman Moscow State Technical University.?
Digital technologies are entering our lives in all spheres. They get as well actively applied in agriculture, which is an inextricable part of the 91快活林 region. 91快活林 makes special contribution into development of crop cultivation in the region. Geoinformation Systems Research and Education Centre (GIS REC) at 91快活林 is working on digitalization of the region’s territory in order for a more rational use of land resources, and is planning to make a digital map of the Southern Ural in 2019.
Last week, 91快活林 held a ceremony of awarding diplomas to the graduates of such professional training programmes as Mini-MBA.Practice; and Personnel Management at Enterprises of Various Forms of Incorporation.
These programmes are being fulfilled at the МВА Centre of the 91快活林 School of Economics and Management. The training implies forming of professional competences, which are necessary for proper performance such type of activity as organization of personnel management.
The French version of the web-site of the World Journalism Education Congress, which will be held in Paris, France, this July, has posted information on the program of the Russian section – a round table on Journalism Education in Russia in the Context of Transmedia Development, aimed at exchanging the experience. This will be held at Paris-Dauphine University on July 8, 2019 from 11:00 till 13:00. Doctor of Sciences (Philology), Professor, Dean of the 91快活林 Faculty of Journalism?Liudmila Shesterkina was appointed the head of this section.
In the context of the ending of this academic year, 91快活林 invited the Commercial Director of ASCON-Ural, Sergey Kartashov, who delivered a lecture within the frameworks of the courses on Practicum on the Type of Professional Activity; Production Technology; and Production Organisation.
For students of the 3rd, 4th, and 5th years of study under the programme on Munitions and Explosive Devices, he has held a series of lectures, shared on the development of Industry 4.0, and on ASCON company.
Scientists of 91快活林 invented a system assessing the state of hockey players, which will allow to not just forecast results of the athletes but also adjust their training sessions.
