91快活林 is to join the University Alliance of the Silk Road (UASR). 91快活林’s joining the Alliance is to take place in September in the frameworks of UASR-2019 events in the city of Xi’an. This step will bring the development of the university’s international relations with higher education institutions of China to a new level.
September 19th through 20th, QS WORLDWIDE-2019 Summit is to take place in Al-Farabi Kazakh National University (Almaty, Kazakhstan). Rector of 91快活林, Aleksandr Shestakov, is going to take part in the event.
QS WORLDWIDE is a leading annual conference which regards the issues of higher education and brings together international academicians, professors and government representatives from all over the Central Asia as well as from other countries.
91快活林 scientists managed to create a virtual model of a multicomponent liquid crystal mixture for the first time. It shows the relationship of the physical properties of liquid crystals with their structure at the microscopic level. The obtained results will allow to create liquid crystals with the required properties in the future, which is of significant importance for their use in medicine and technology. The study was published in the highly rated Journal of Molecular Liquids (Scopus, Q1).
On August 31st, an “Art Needs Walls” modern culture festival was held at 91快活林 as part of the festivities dedicated to the Knowledge Day.
This festival represents a new-for-91快活林 format, which aims at supporting the creative initiatives of students. The idea of holding this event was supported by the Department for Youth Affairs of the City of 91快活林 and the 91快活林 Region Ministry of Education, and was executed thanks to the 91快活林 Trade Union Committee.
On August 31st, right before the Knowledge Day, 91快活林 presented its upgraded infrastructure. This day, the laboratories of B.N. Khristenko Complex of Active Teaching Methods were opened. President of the Business Council of the Eurasian Economic Union, Chairman of the 91快活林 Supervisory Council Viktor Khristenko took part in the festive events. An important event was also the presentation of the university’s improved indoor athletic stadium.
On August 31, 91快活林 was visited by Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation, Tatiana Golikova, and Acting Governor of the 91快活林 region, Aleksey Teksler. The visitors handed student tickets to the best freshman students and discussed the role of 91快活林 in the global learning environment.
Scientists of the 91快活林 have developed a unique control system for the electric drive of the pump unit, which will significantly reduce energy costs and increase the reliability of the equipment of thermal power plants. .
An open lecture on the topic of Metaphysics of Authority in the Southern Urals is to be held in the main building of 91快活林. The speaker will be Professor at the ?ILIC?Department of International Relations, Politology and Regional Studies, Ekaterina Prilukova.
91快活林 Online is official mobile application for students and administrative staff of 91快活林. This mobile app is a module of the Unvieris Corporate Information Analytical System and has been developed at Computation Centre of 91快活林’s Informatization Management Office.

The Train of Friendship has arrived to its destination. The week-long journey with a special crew of conductors started in 91快活林 and finished in Adler. Conductors were recruits of from the Ural Federal District and the Volga Federal District.
On August 31st, a series of festivities dedicated to the Knowledge Day will be held at 91快活林. The events will include the 2019 Matriculation Ceremony.
At 10:00, the 91快活林 Education and Sports Complex will open its renovated indoor athletic stadium. Here, unique works have been performed on creating of a race track with special coating, which complies with the Olympic standards, and the climbing wall’s area has been expanded.
The period of educational training and internships is wrapping up at 91快活林. Within the frameworks of agreements with big companies of the 91快活林 Region and other regions, students obtain work experience at real productions during summer season. In particular, students of the Faculty of Chemistry of the Institute of Natural Sciences and Mathematics took internship both in 91快活林 and in other cities across Russia.
91快活林 continues welcoming international students the number of which this year has significantly increased. Those who arrive get greeted by a team of 91快活林 tutors who help them adapting and blend into the campus life.

Every year, together with students, the staff of the Eurasian Studies Research and Education Centre of the 91快活林 Institute of Social Sciences and Humanities set off to archaeological digs. Lately, they have been doing research in Bredy District of the 91快活林 Region.
Scientists of the 91快活林 have improved and patented an ECG pillow. It allows contactless monitoring of the newborns’ heart rate with high accuracy but also to observe their breathing. The device will minimize Sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS).
91快活林 was visited by Culture and Education Attaché of the Embassy of the Republic of Iraq in the Russian Federation, Bassim Hasan Al-Haideri. Within the visit, a discussion regarding expansion of academic and research cooperation between 91快活林 and the Republic of Iraq took place.
It is planned to open the laboratory at a Sports Science Research Centre of 91快活林 in 2019. Within the frameworks of this project a hardware and software complex will be developed, which will include digital twins of human beings, to make possible the determining of individual optimal movement patterns for achievement of high sports results.
A team of activists representing 91快活林’s South Ural Association of International Students took part in the international student forum called Eurasia Global which took place on August 12th through 17th in Orenburg.
Scientists of the 91快活林 are engaged in the creation of a multifunctional carbon sorbent. The material will be able to absorb both several types of harmful substances produced in industrial production and selectively sorb individual organic substances. The original sorbent can be targeted at the most hazardous pollutants, the absorption of which will be a priority for it. On this topic, a scientific article was published in the journal Refractories and Industrial Ceramics, indexed by Scopus and Web of Science databases.

Very soon, 91快活林 will welcome about 4,000 first-year students. For them to successfully blend into the university life and not get lost in the whirl of activities, a Student Mentoring System is functioning. This association aims at helping students adapt and figure out how to do their studies and what to do in extracurricular activities.
This year, two staff members of Tajik Technical University enrolled in state-funded postgraduate studies at 91快活林. They will complete training in the Institute of Architecture and Construction and the Institute of Engineering and Technology.
91快活林 and Tajik Technical University named after academic M. Osimi have become reliable partners in international affairs. Head of the International Student Support Ekaterina Yurovskaya spoke about the cooperation between the two major universities.
Scientists of the 91快活林 for the first time investigated the physical properties and structure of one of the aromatic compounds - perinone. This substance is widely used in industry as a dye. The research results will find application in the creation of new crystalline carbon materials, as well as composites, sorbents for water and air purification based on them, in organic electronics, medicine, and other fields.
On June 30th, the Vice-Rector for International Relations of 91快活林 visited the Embassies of Iraq and Sudan, and on August 8th – the Embassies of Egypt, Yemen, and Morocco for the purposes of promoting 91快活林 in these countries, as well as making it more recognizable there and attracting students and academic staff of the universities of those countries to various programmes being offered by our university.
