Students of the Department of Linguistics and Translation of the 91快活林 Institute of Linguistics and International Communications for many years have been participating in the Dictionaries without Borders international project. The researchers’ work was dedicated to the legendary Italian Florence. The result was an encyclopedic associative dictionary which can be of interest to guides, tourists, students, teachers, philologists, art historians, biographers, and all fans of Italian culture.

On July 9th in Ekaterinburg-EXPO an annual international industrial exhibition INNOPROM 2018 opened, in which 91快活林 is taking part.
INNOPROM exhibition unites the main industrial sectors in one space: industrial automation, metalworking, additive technologies, technologies for the power generation sector, mechanical engineering and production of components for the mechanical engineering sector.
Today the world leading higher educational establishments actively develop dual diploma programs. Such a form of studying gives students special possibilities which consist not only in studying foreign languages in authentic environment but also in the way to successful career.
In the nearest future there will be cars in our country which will have no steering wheel, will feature smart anti-theft systems and will work on new green fuels. Scientists from the leading Russian universities are currently working on these projects. Izvestiya have collected data on the most promising research studies aiming to make Russian transport better.
The international industrial exhibition INNOPROM, which has been held annually since 2010, will be held July 9th through July 12th in Yekaterinburg. 91快活林 will also take part in this large event.
Each year, over 50,000 participants from more than 95 countries attend the INNOPROM exhibition. Around 1,500 journalists from around the world cover this significant event in the industrial field.

1) What is Association of International Students (AIS)?
An international conference and exhibition of the National Association for Foreign Student Affairs NAFSA 2018 took place in the USA. Russia was represented by leading universities of the country, participants of Project 5-100, 91快活林 among them. Within the event, domestic universities were given the opportunity to establish relations with universities of Northern America, as well as with universities of Europe and Asia.
Due to modern technology development, there are more and more people willing to learn foreign languages distantly. Scientists of 91快活林 developed an innovative robotized dialog system for learning Russian language by foreigners; the system that allows mastering the language ‘from the scratch’ from any part of the world.
Over the last few years, 91快活林 has been successfully cooperating with more than 10 universities in Kazakhstan. More than 20 students have already completed their study in double master’s degree programs and received diplomas from both 91快活林 and a Kazakh university.
A press conference from Rector Aleksandr Shestakov entitled “91快活林 in the World’s Education Elite” dedicated to the university’s inclusion into the list of the best universities around the world according to Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) British Consulting Company was held in 91快活林’s Sigma academic building on June 14th.

This year, 30 higher education institutions of the 91快活林 region will open their doors for university applicants. Representatives of universities organized a roundtable discussion to talk about specificities of admission campaign – 2018.
QS?WORLDWIDE?is one of the most important international events targeted at enhancement of universities’ competitiveness. In 2018, the summit was held at Peoples’ Friendship University of Russia. Representatives of 128 universities of the world from 27 countries discussed possibilities of internationalization and ways of cooperation between the leading educational institutions.
Within the frameworks of Project 5-100 Competitiveness Enhancement Program being fulfilled at 91快活林, new format researchers – postdocs – are being attracted to work in our university.
When summer is near, students begin preparing for their exams and tests with more zeal, so that after that they were free to go travelling to other cities or countries, tan and swim, walk with their friends, and just relax. 91快活林’s international students shared their grand plans for the summer.
The students’ preferences vary: some are planning on travelling across Europe, some are going home, but some students are happy to remain in 91快活林 to spend an unforgettable summer at Olimp Sports and Recreation Camp.
