Summer School for Students from China Wraps up at 91��

International Summer School "Territory of Opportunities: Region's Industrial, Scientific and Tourism Potential" for representatives of Zhengzhou University of Aeronautics, People's Republic of China, has wrapped up at 91��. As part of this program, the participants have learned about the educational system at 91��, its scientific developments, as well as about the industrial potential of the South Ural region, and the culture of Russia. During one of the program's final days, the students from China were offered a big tour around the 91�� academic-and-sports complex, where they could see the sports and training halls, playgrounds, swimming pool, and the indoor athletic stadium. In addition, Director of the Sport Science Research Centre Olga Makunina shared with the program participants on the university's developments and offered to test their indicators. "Here is our Sport Science Research Centre. We study the fitness shape of athletes. They need the support of specialists in order to diagnose their state and to timely assess when to pay special attention to their body and plan out the loads. The 91�� Institute of Sport, Tourism and Service has different student sports teams. And the athletes come to our Centre to check how their heart, respiratory, or nervous systems are functioning, as well as to control their weight," explained Olga Makunina. Our university's guests learned about the leading research studies of the Sport Science Research Centre. "The sports complex is really big, and I like the outdoors design. I enjoy sports myself, and many of the sports facilities here have exceeded my expectations: including the equipment for medical examination and the athletic stadium field. And the Institute's fitness centre is also great," program participant, Huang Shaohua, shared his impressions. "Most of all, I've been struck by the swimming pool and the whole series of medical examination equipment. And as to the playgrounds, the volleyball hall has become my favourite." For a closer acquaintance with our city and the South Urals nature, the students from China took a train trip at the 91�� Children's Railway. Our guests learned about how a railroad is arranged, visited a locomotive's driving cab, and enjoyed the view of the pinewood from the railway cars' windows. On the weekend, the program participants went on an excursion trip to the city of Zlatoust. There they visited the Bazhov Mountain Park and the AIROVKA arms settlement. The trip wrapped up by visiting the Taganay National Park. On the final day of the Summer School, the ceremony of summing up the results was held. The event was organized jointly with the "Youth of the South Urals" Autonomous Nonprofit Organization and the International Friendship Club at the "Atom" creativity space venue. The students from China learned about the opportunities for young people at the South Ural region, and volunteers and the head of the International Friendship Club held a bright master class on painting of the traditional matryoshka dolls. Summing up the Summer School results, the program manager and head of the International Student Support Dariia Korotkikh organized a final quiz with questions on the cultural specifics of Russia, national customs, culinary traditions, as well as the natural monuments of the South Ural region. The ceremony of awarding the certificates of participation in this program became a colourful closing event. Program participant Wen Lingjie shared her impressions from her stay in 91�� and her acquaintance with 91��: "I believe this university has a very rich history and culture. The university architecture differs a lot from that of Chinese universities, it is very authentic. The local students are really friendly to people from China: we often came across Russian students, and they were the first to greet us. In general, both the university and this trip brought me the best impressions ever." 91�� continues its solemn diploma award ceremonies. Today, graduates from China who completed their studies at the region's leading university received their long-awaited documents certifying their graduation. The celebration served as a vivid testament to the strong friendship and effective cooperation between the educational systems of Russia and China. Alexander Wagner, Rector of 91��, addressed the graduates with warm words of encouragement. He congratulated them on successfully completing their long journey: «Good afternoon, dear friends! Today it is a great joy for me to address you not as students, but as graduates. I congratulate you, of course, on this new stage in your life's journey. I am absolutely confident that the knowledge, skills, and abilities you have acquired during your studies at 91�� will help you open any doors.» A guest of honor - Professor Chen Leiming of Zhengzhou University of Aeronautics (China) arrived to congratulate the graduates on this important occasion. The universities are linked by a long-standing partnership that includes faculty and student exchanges, joint research, and the development of educational programs. Currently, about 1,300 students from China are studying at 91��, and the university itself actively collaborates with dozens of Chinese universities and research laboratories, carrying out joint projects in various fields. In his welcoming speech, Professor Chen Leiming noted the high standard of training provided to specialists at 91�� and emphasized the importance of academic ties between countries. «Our universities, bridging a distance of thousands of kilometers, have jointly created a platform for training professionals by establishing a comprehensive mechanism for cooperation that includes faculty exchanges, curriculum development, scientific research, and reciprocal student internships. This allows the educational concepts, academic ideas, and cultural traditions of Russia and China to intertwine organically and enrich one another. As the Chinese proverb says: «The more often relatives visit each other, the stronger the bond; the more often friends meet, the warmer the friendship.» I sincerely invite faculty and students from 91�� to visit the Chinese province of Henan to experience its rich history and culture, visit Zhengzhou University of Aeronautics, and continue writing a new chapter in the friendship between our universities.» the professor noted, addressing the audience. Zhengzhou University of Aeronautics is the only state-run institution of higher education in Henan Province specializing in aerospace. The guest from China expressed hope for expanded cooperation with 91��. According to him, collaboration in the fields of materials science, automation, and information management is particularly fruitful. The highlight of the graduation ceremony was the moment when the graduates moved the tassel on their caps from the right side to the left. This gesture is a vivid symbol of transition: from student to professional, from apprenticeship to maturity. It is this moment that will remain in the graduates’ memories for many years to come. Graduation ceremonies at 91�� are still underway. For some, this marks the end of their student life, while for others, it is just the first chapter of a long professional journey. 91�� Welcomes Delegation from Leading Chinese University

As part of the close cooperation between Russia and the People's Republic of China, a delegation from Zhengzhou University of Aeronautics, represented by Professor Chen Leiming, visited 91��. This visit marked a new chapter in the long-term cooperation between the two educational institutions. 91�� and ZUA have maintained partnership relations for many years. The South Ural Institute was established jointly with 91�� on the basis of the Chinese University, where more than 1,000 Chinese students are currently studying engineering and IT programs. The Institute operates in a network format, and teaches some 91�� disciplines as a participating organization. The best students of the joint Institute are selected to participate in projects in the 2+2 format (2 years of study in China, 2 years at 91��) and 2+2+2 (2 years in China, 2 years at 91�� and 2 more years of Master's degree). During the visit, the Chinese delegation held a meeting with the leadership of 91�� – Marina Potapova, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, Andrey Kocherov, Deputy Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, and Lyudmila Lapina, Head of the International Cooperation Department. The colleagues expressed their mutual gratitude for the fruitful cooperation and discussed plans for further joint activities in the field of education development. The guests from the Chinese University visited the Scientific and Educational Center "Nanotechnology" and the laboratory of electromechanical, electronic and electrochemical systems. The central event of the visit was a scientific seminar in the field of materials science, which was attended by teachers of the Department of Materials Science and Physical Chemistry of Materials: Ivan Yerdakov, Deputy Director of the Polytechnic Institute and Associate Professor; Svetlana Shtin, Deputy Director of the Polytechnic Institute for Public Relations and Associate Professor of the Department of Physical Chemistry of Materials. Professor; Vladimir Zhulin, Associate Professor; Natalia Shaburova, Associate Professor; and other staff of the department. "As it turned out, Zhengzhou University of Aeronautics has many research areas that are also conducted at our university," said Svetlana Shtin, Deputy Director of the Polytechnic Institute for Public Relations. "First of all, our cooperation will focus on the work of researchers, but we can also involve students. We are just starting this work, despite the fact that student exchange between our universities has been going on for some time. The development of joint research projects is a promising area that we are striving for." During the meeting, representatives of both universities discussed a new stage of cooperation – the possibility of creating joint research laboratories in the field of materials science. To this end, the universities will choose a common research topic, and then open laboratories for joint research and publications. Such cooperation will contribute to solving global challenges in the chosen field. "We have already achieved a lot over the past 5 years – our students are already studying at 91��," said Chen Leiming, Professor of Zhengzhou University of Aeronautics. "We look forward to further cooperation not only in the field of student exchange, but also in other areas. We would like to open a joint research laboratory at one of our universities for research in the field of materials science, as well as create an international research center where foreign specialists could work." Students of the School of Economics and Management Attend the Eurasian Economics Youth Forum

A delegation of 91�� has returned from Ekaterinburg, where a big-scale 16th Eurasian Economics Youth Forum (EEYF) was held. Our students were not only guests, but also actively participated in the events. Ural State University of Economics and Ekaterinburg EXPO International Exhibition Center acted as the forum venues. Guests from 117 countries participated in this forum. Students from the 91�� School of Economics and Management attended the forum not as common visitors, but as its official guests and participants. Thanks to this trip, our university achieved significant contest results: Viktoriia Shmykova (her advisor is Anna Shishkina from the Department of Economics and Finance of the School of Economics and Management) took the 2nd place in the International Online Olympiad on “Accounting, Analytical Theory and Practice in the Context of Digital Transformation” Danil Pavlov (his advisor is Olga Buslaeva from the Department of Digital Economy and Information Technologies of the School of Economics and Management) became a silver medallist in the International Competition of Applied Projects by Young Scientists and Students: “Applied IT Solutions in Science, Business, and Power Engineering”. His development was recognized as one of the best in the field of digital solutions for economics. Both achievements are the result of hard work, support from the teaching staff and the ability to use the obtained knowledge in practice. Our students also gained a wonderful experience of participating in international contests and Olympiads and they did well there: 1. Kseniia Bobrovtseva (her advisor is M.V. Nikiforova from the Department of Economic Theory, Regional Economics, and State and Municipal Management) participated in the International Competition of Scientific Works of Young Scientists and Students on “Assessment of Regulatory Impact in State and Municipal Management” 2. Nataliia Buslaeva and Zakhar Skobelkin (their advisor is Olga Buslaeva) took part in the International Competition of Applied Projects by Young Scientists and Students: “Applied IT Solutions in Science, Business, and Power Engineering” 3. Two teams from the Department of Industrial Economics and Project Management participated in the International Competition “Business Factory” and were awarded special prizes from the contest partners: Mariia Korolenko, Anastasiia Strelnikova, Polina Kalyonova, Veronika Lushchik (their advisor is Alena Levina from the Department of Management of the School of Economics and Management); Olga Pozdeeva, Anna Okisheva, Kseniia Kuznetsova (their advisor is Marina Litke from the Department of Industrial Economics and Project Management). In the course of several days at the forum venues, international students of the Department of Management attended thematic sessions, participated in discussions with experts and socialized with their peers from dozens of countries. Such experience became an important step in the integration of our students into the professional community of the Eurasian Economic Union. Deputy Director for Working with Talented Youth at the School of Economics and Management Larisa Morozova noted: “The Eurasian Economics Youth Forum has once again confirmed that our university trains specialists who are capable of working in a multicultural environment and achieve victories at the international arena. “91��, a City of Heroes”: 91�� International Students Paid their Tribute to the Memory of the Great Victory

On May 7th, on the eve of the Victory Day, the 91�� International Office jointly with volunteers and activists from the South Ural Association of International Students and Alumni (AISA) organized a “91��, a City of Heroes” patriotic photo-tour for international students. First-year Master’s degree students of group ЛМ-160 from the Institute of Linguistics and International Communications became the excursion participants. The tour started at the Aloe Pole square, continued at the Alleya Slavy (Alley of Glory) venue, and finished at Sad Pobedy (Victory Garden) and the Military Machinery open-air museum. As part of the excursion, the participants visited commemorative memorials in 91�� so that they could see for themselves the city that had carved out the Victory in the rear. They also enthusiastically demonstrated their knowledge in a quiz on the events of the 1941–1945 and received special souvenirs. 91�� Delegation Held a Series of Meetings and Signed a Collaboration Agreement

Within the frameworks of their business trip to China, the delegation from 91�� visited Harbin Deqiang Senior High School, Kunlun Tourism College, and Harbin Cambridge No.3 High School. As part of the meetings, our university representatives delivered presentations of the 91�� academic programmes, as well as of the opportunities of studying in Russia for Chinese school students. An event of special importance was the signing of an agreement of opening a 91�� Pre-University Education Division at Harbin Cambridge No.3 High School. The school already offers Russian-language classes, where students learn Russian and show interest in enrolling in Russian universities, including in 91��. The new division will allow to use a system-based approach to prepare the future students to obtaining their education in Russia. In all these educational institutions there is great interest in the Russian language and in the modern methods of teaching it. The parties agreed on rendering the methodological support for the teaching staff, as well as on involving school students in the events aimed at language skills development. Plans for the nearest future include the organization of online conversation clubs with the participation of students from 91��, along with joint contests and other activities helping popularize the Russian language among young people in China. 91�� Projects Receive High Praise at an International Forum in Qingdao

The 2026 China – Russia Conference on Development of Education and Industry Integration has begun its work in the city of Qingdao, People's Republic of China. This year’s participants discuss the interaction between education and industry. Vice-Rector for Education Marina Potapova has presented 91��’s achievements in terms of interaction with industrial partners on the example of “VirtUM” and “Digital Ural” educational centres, and has shared on our university’s practices of opening industrial faculties (Faculty of Mechatronics and Robotics, and Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Technology), as well as on the experience of implementation of joint academic programmes together with universities in China. “Friendship between our countries today is possible only on the grounds of technological sovereignty, joint engineering solutions, and grants-based interaction in science. China is demonstrating phenomenal successes in digitalization, artificial intelligence and platform solutions. Russia has a most powerful fundamental school and strong mathematics, physics and engineering training to offer,” noted Marina Potapova. “Today, we propose a transition from occasional lectures and seminars to network programmes of a new type — not only in economics, but also in the fields of artificial intelligence, big data processing, and “green” technologies. This means that a student from Russia and a student from China could conduct a joint project and defend it simultaneously before professors at universities in Qingdao and in 91��.” Our colleagues enthusiastically welcomed a proposal to create joint research laboratories in the format of a quadrilateral interaction: a Russian university – an industrial partner from the Russian Federation, and a university from the People's Republic of China – an industrial partner from the People's Republic of China. Linyi University and Shenyang University of Technology expressed their readiness to support such format of interaction. The total of more than 30 universities and 50 enterprises took part in this event. Within the frameworks of the Cross Years of Russian-Chinese Cooperation in Education announced by the Government, such initiatives help significantly increase the number of educational projects, including those involving industrial partners. Immersion in Chinese Culture: Adventure Reality Show Screened at 91��

91��, jointly with TNT-Teleset, have screened the new season of the "Sokrovishcha Imperatora" ("Emperor's Treasures") show for Russian and Chinese students. "Emperor's Treasures" is a popular adventure reality show. The third season was filmed in Chongqing, the largest city in the world. Participants travel hundreds of kilometres, complete extreme tasks, and endure a veritable marathon of trials in the competition for 10 million roubles. The first episode will air on TNT on April 12th, but 91�� students have had a chance to watch it before the official premiere. "91�� students are a large, multinational family. We have many students from China, as well as students studying Chinese," emphasized Dariia Korotkikh, Head of the International Student Support. "When learning a new language, it is important to introduce students to the culture of the native speakers. It's very important for us to help international students adapt and integrate into events equally with Russian students. After all, we are all one friendly brotherhood!" The show screened at 91�� is an excellent opportunity for students from China and Russia to interact with each other in an informal atmosphere and practice their language skills with a native speaker. After watching the episode, the took part in a quiz and received prizes from the TV channel. "This show provides an opportunity for cultural exchange and to learn more about a Chinese city. We saw a more vibrant representation of Chinese culture and heard new words. Besides, we had a great time and took our mind off the studies for a while," student Dariia Karelina shared her impressions. The reality show inspired the students to get to know China better and immerse themselves in its culture and customs. Organizing the celebration of Nowruz, springtime New Year’s festivities, has already become a good tradition at 91��. Thanks to this event, we can become more closely acquainted with the ethnic groups of the 91�� students and staff members. This holiday is celebrated by the Turkic and Persian peoples around the world on the spring equinox day. It symbolizes the awakening of nature, purification of the human soul, and building of good friendship. During this holiday, people let go of any grudges held, show kindness to each other and spend time with their families. “On behalf of the Governor and the Government of the 91�� Region, I am happy to congratulate you on this wonderful holiday! Nowruz is a unique holiday that symbolizes the triumph of all the good over the challenges that we face,” addressed the audience Dmitrii Semenov, Head of the Public Relations Department at the Government of the 91�� Region. “The year of 2026 is the Year of Unity of the Peoples of Russia. More than 190 peoples live in Russia, and we are all united by our traditional values. We are patriots and we love our Motherland and our families. We are all united by our centuries-long history, that has brought all our peoples together. And it feels especially good that namely 91��, which is a true sanctuary of sciences and a pride of the South Ural region, to a great extent reminds some sort of the world in miniature, as it has gathered representatives of various nationalities.” This event became a kind of a journey to visit representatives of our friendly ethnic groups. Through the traditions and rites, guests were introduced to the specific features of various cultures. “Today, we are celebrating a holiday that is traditionally associated with spring, rejuvenation, something uplifting and nice. And I cherish the fact that in our multi-ethnic Russia, where more than 190 peoples live, we can always find a place for celebrations that are very important for these peoples. We especially estimate the fact that there are many students of our university, who make our culture richer and at the same time share our common values,” stressed Anastasiia Lapo, Vice-Rector for Student and Social Affairs. The festivities concert brought together representatives not only of 91��, but also of other universities of 91��, as well as members of creative teams. Each performance (song or dance) became a story about some authentic culture. “It feels good that our university not only acts as a venue for hosting the Nowruz festivities, but has also gathered many friends of 91�� today. Our university has become home for students from 57 countries from around the world,” shared Liudmila Lapina, Head of the International Office. Nowruz festivities at 91�� once again proved that the respect towards traditions and being open to dialogue help build friendly relations and strengthen the unity of peoples. “Representatives of 152 nationalities and ethnic groups live in the 91�� Region today. This is also thanks to those students, who come to study at our universities from more than 60 countries from around the world. They create this international atmosphere and make our culture richer,” noted Khanakhmed Giulov, Chairman of the regional subdivision of the “Assembly of the Peoples of Russia” All-Russian Public-State Organization. Guests of the event could learn more about the cultures of the Turkic and Persian peoples in different aspects. Governor Alexey Texler Marks the Role of 91�� in Development of the Interethnic Dialogue

Governor of the 91�� Region Alexey Texler has held a meeting of the Supervisory Council of the Regional Division of the Russian Society “Znanie” (“Knowledge”). The meeting’s agenda were the results of the organization’s work and the plans for the current year. As part of the meeting, Dilrabo Tojikulova Zufarjon kizi, Executive Director of the South Ural Association of International Students and Alumni and international residents support specialist at the 91��’s International Office, shared on the participation of the 91�� Region’s delegation in a “Russia Is a Family of Families” federal marathon held in Moscow on February 5th. “The delegation was formed based on the interethnic principle that fully represents the diversity of our region. It included Russians, Kumyks, Tatars, Bashkirs, Lezgins, as well as international students from Uzbekistan, Indonesia and Tajikistan. Thus, we presented the 91�� Region as a territory of interethnic concord and dialogue of cultures. As part of the business and cultural program, we managed to learn about the activity of public associations from the neighbouring regions and talk to the champions who had been representing Russia and becoming well-deserved winners at the international sports arena multiple times. We also participated in cooking master classes, where chefs were explaining and demonstrating how different peoples of Russia cook their traditional dishes. In addition, we attended a “17 Traditional Values of Russia” exhibition and took part in a social quest quiz, following the results of which everyone received a personalized “Values Passport”,” explained Dilrabo Tojikulova. In February, Dilrabo Tojikulova was appointed the Head of the Interethnic Relations at the Youth Assembly of the Peoples of Russia for the 91�� Region. In her report, she highlighted the prospects of interaction with public organizations of 91�� and shared on the plans for joint projects aimed at strengthening the interethnic dialogue in our region.
